Happy Independence Trinidad and Tobago|National Awards


Happy Independence Day Trinidad and Tobago!

A total of 40 recipients will tonight receive national awards for varying service to T&T. For the first time, the award ceremony will be held at Queen’s Hall, Port-of-Spain.

Four recipients—former government minister and Caricom Ambassador Kamalludin Mohammed, former attorney general Karl Hudson-Phillips QC, Pundit Krishna Maharaj former spiritual leader of the SDMS and former senate president Wahid Ali (posthumously) are to receive the Order of T&T.

Happy Independence day Trinidad and Tobago! I don't mean to sound like someone who simply wants to poke and cause a disturbance but it boggles my mind that year after year we celebrate independence and yet still don't truly comprehend its significance... We take so much for granted and still suffer from the same inadequaces that stifle social and economic growth... just think about it for a moment
