Tight security at Jamaat auction today|Trinidad Guardian Newspapers

Security will be tight today at the Port-of-Spain City Corporation’s auditorium, Knox Street, for the auction of 11 properties belonging to the Jamaat al Muslimeen. It will begin at 10 am.

This is going to be a very interesting read in tomorrows newspapers. The question is, "who is going to purchase these properties and sleep well at night?" I don't know if private citizens have "the belly" to go and bid on these properties taking into consideration the reputation of the the Muslimeen.

People are just afraid and it is the thinking that you have to be a madman to bid on those eleven properties up for sale by the state. I can see business enterprises and foreign national interests bidding on these properties but not locals. Do you believe that the properties will be sold or remain at the disposal of the government. This just might be the best outcome. Let the state take possession and after about 100 years from now sell them to the public (sarcasm).
